Tarascon-sur-Ariège is a town
in the Ariège department in southwestern France. The city
was founded in the 8th century, after a victory of Charlemagne
against the Saracens in the plain of Tarascon. It is a charming
town that is a major commercial centre due to its geographical
location at the entrance of five valleys. The city is an excellent
starting point for exploring the surrounding valleys with outstanding
natural and architectural heritage. |
