Montfort-sur-Meu is a town in the
Ille-et-Vilaine department in Brittany in northwestern France.
It lies about 20 kms to the west of the city of Rennes, on the
river Meu. It is noted as the birthplace of the author and Catholic
Saint Louis de Montfort, who is considered the pioneer of the
field of Mariology. |
