Étaples or Étaples-sur-Mer
is a town in the Pas-de-Calais department in northern France.
It lies just off the main A16 highway between Boulogne and Abbeville.
It is a fishing and leisure port at the mouth of the Canche river.
Étaples is about 27 kilometres south of Boulogne and the
Military Cemetery is to the north of the town, on the west side
of the road to Boulogne. Etaples sur Mer is a pretty port with
its fishing and sailing boats. In the main square of the old
town, there is a bustling market on Tuesday and Friday mornings
and the town is well served for shops, brasseries, bars and restaurants. |

Nord-Pas de Calais lies in northern

Belgian border with windmills, canals and graceful Flemish architecture.

aswell as the new hi-tech district EuraLille. |
