Domfront is located in the Orne department
of Basse Normandie, in northwestern France. The town is a picturesque
fortified medieval city, on a hill 215 metres above sea level,
on the way from Paris to Brittany. This position gives the town
an exceptional panoramic view over the Low-Normandy bocages,
of which Domfront is the capital. The town has some of the best
preserved ramparts and fortifications in France, while the surrounding
countryside is a backdrop of dramatic scenery, with dark oak
and pine forests and fast flowing rivers. |

Sleeps 4. This holiday home in a restored bakehouse is located
on a traditional farmstead. The holiday home is surrounded by
a pretty spacious garden with a surface of approx. 1,000 m2,
at 20 m. of the accommodation. You will also find 50 Normandy
cows, calves, chickens, a dog and cats on the farm. Nice to visit:
Domfront, an historical town at 15 km with a medieval centre;
Saint Fraimbault (at 2 km), a "village fleuri" (flower
village) which has received the first prize in France for years;
various farms where cider and calvados are produced; Mont Saint
Michel at 86 km; D-day beaches at 120 km; Bagnoles de l'Orne,
a spa resort with casino at 40 km.
